DR. FEDERICO PORPORATO
Internal Medicine (Co-Founder)

I graduated from the University of Turin in 2011; I did an internship at the University of Kansas and Missouri (USA) in the field of internal medicine and intensive care for small animals. In 2013, I started a rotating internship followed by a specialist internship in internal medicine at the Istituto Veterinario di Novara before completing a residency program. During my years of residency, I also worked at the Tierarztliche Klinik Birkenfeld Veterinary Hospital (Germany) as a supervisor at the department of internal medicine. In March 2019, I graduated from the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, (certified ECVIM-CA). I held lectures at national and international courses and congresses of veterinary internal medicine.

DR. FILIPPO FERRI
Internal Medicine (Co-Founder)

I graduated in Veterinary Medicine in 2010 at the University of Parma in Italy. From 2010 to 2012, I attended the Diagnostic Imaging and Radiology Service at the University of Parma. In 2012, I completed a visiting at the Diagnostic Imaging Service of the Queen Mother Hospital for Animals – Royal Veterinary College and at the Service d’Imagerie Médicale at the Faculty of Médecine Vétérinaire de l’Université de Liége. In 2013, I started and completed a one-year rotating internship and subsequently a three-year residency program in Internal Medicine at the Istituto Veterinario di Novara in Italy. In March 2017, I obtained ECVIM-CA certification at the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. I held lectures at national and international courses and congresses of veterinary internal medicine.

DR. RODOLFO OLIVEIRA LEAL
Internal Medicine

I am Rodolfo and I gained a Master’s in veterinary medicine (MIMV) at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine – University of Lisbon (PT) in 2008. After a one-year general internship at Centre Hospitalier Veterinaire Fregis (Paris), I completed a PhD in Veterinary Sciences at the Centre of Interdisciplinary Research in Animal Health (CIISA) – University of Lisbon. After completing an ECVIM residency training programme in small animal medicine at CHV Fregis, I became a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine since 2017. Nowadays, I am a senior clinician and the coordinator of the Internal Medicine department of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital – Faculty of Veterinary Medicine – University of Lisbon. Since 2018, I am an invited assistant professor and, since 2020, I supervise an ECVIM-accredited residency training program at the same university. I am a board-member of the European Society of Veterinary Endocrinology and one of the internal medicine consultants of VIN – Veterinary Information Network. I have authored several peer-reviewed papers and regularly present at national and international conferences.

DR. FEDERICA MARCHESOTTI
Cardiology

I’m Federica, qualified in Veterinary Medicine in 2010 at University of Milan (Italy). Between 2010 and 2012 I worked in several clinic as a clinician and at Clinica Veterinaria Gran Sasso (Milan-Italy) in Cardiology and emergency departments. In 2012 I started a rotating internship at the Istituto Veterinario di Novara, followed by an ECVIM-CA (Cardiology) residency program and in 2021 obtained the ECVIM-CA (Cardiology) Diplomate status. In 2018 I worked at the Atlantic Veterinary College in Canada, temporarily replacing the head of the Cardiology Department. I am currently working at the AniCura Istituto Veterinario di Novara in clinical and interventional Cardiology department and in several veterinary clinics in the north of Italy as cardiologist. I’m author and co-author of papers published on peer-reviewed international and national scientific journals. I held several lectures at masters, national courses and congresses.

DR. FEDERICA TRITTO
Neurology

I am Federica, I graduated with honor at the Veterinary Faculty of the University of Turin in 2012. In 2013, I completed a one-year rotating Internship at the Istituto Veterinario di Novara which was then followed by a specialist internship in Neurology at the same institution. In 2014 I started a one-year specialist internship in Neurology and Neurosurgery at the Clinica Veterinaria Neurologica NVA-Milano. From 2015 to 2019 I completed a residency program of the European Veterinary College of Neurology (ECVN) and in 2022 I became an ECVN Diplomate. In 2017 and 2019 I followed training periods in Neurology at the Royal Veterinary College in London and at the referral veterinary clinic North Downs Specialist Referrals, United Kingdom. Since 2020 I am the Neurology consultant of the Clinica Veterinaria Neurologica NVA-Milano and Anicura Istituto Veterinario di Novara. I followed several national and international courses and seminars in the field of veterinary Neurology. I am also the author and co-author of scientific articles published on international journals and presented at international congresses. I was co-supervisor in degree thesis in the field of Neurology and Neurosurgery at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Milan.

DR. LIVIA FERRO
Oncology

I am Livia, graduated from Padua University (Italy) in 2014. After my graduation I performed a 4 months practical stage in Surgery at the Ecole National Vétérinaire d’Alfort and subsequently I worked as a clinician in Rovigo with main focus in Internal Medicine, Oncology, and emergency. In 2016 I completed a rotating internship and in 2018 an Oncology internship at the Istituto Veterinario di Novara (Italy), where in 2019 I have started a 3-years residency program (ECVIM- CA, Oncology). Since June 2021, I am head of the Veterinary Oncology Service at the University of Padua. In 2023 I obtained the ECVIM-CA (Oncology) Diplomate status. In my free time, I enjoy travelling, cooking, practicing sports, yoga and spending time with my family, friends and pets.

DR. FRANCESCO CIAN
Clinical Pathology

I am Francesco, I qualified from the University of Padua (Italy) with a DVM in 2006. After a few years working as general practitioner in Italy, in 2010 I started a residency program in Veterinary Clinical Pathology at the University of Cambridge, which I finished in 2013 attaining both ECVCP and FRCPath diplomas. I joined the Animal Health Trust (AHT) in 2013 as Head of Clinical Pathology, and from September 2015 I work for Battlab (LABOKLIN) and as consultant for other laboratories offering digital cytology service in the USA (Heska) and Asia (Asia Veterinary Diagnostics/Antech). I am the secretary of the European College of Veterinary Clinical Pathology (ECVCP) and member of the Cytology exam committee of the same organisation. I am a passionate lecturer and I regularly organise Cytology and Haematology courses for education companies in Europe and UK (UNISVET, ESAVS, BSAVA, VetCPD). I have published two veterinary Cytology books “Veterinary Cytology: Dog, Cat, Horse and Cow: Self Assessment Color Review” by CRC Press and “Differential Diagnosis in Small Animal Cytology” the Skin and Subcutis” by CABI. I am also co-author of the Cytology chapter of the “BSAVA Manual of Veterinary Clinical Pathology” (3rd edition). In 2010, I created the Veterinary Cytology Facebook page that now accounts for over 20.000 members.

DR. FILIPPO CINTI
Surgery

I’m Filippo, I graduated from the University of Bologna (Italy) in 2009. Between 2010-2013 I completed the PhD program in Veterinary Science at the University of Bologna. In 2017 I completed a three-year European College of Veterinary Surgeons approved residency program in small animal surgery and I became a Diplomate ECVS in February 2020, during the same year I achieved the University qualify to Associate Professor (ASN). In 2018 I completed and achieved the Certificated in Small Animal Soft Tissue Surgery (GPCert- SASTS) and I worked 3 years in UK at Eastcott Referral Veterinary Hospital (UK) like a referral surgeon. In 2021 I came back to Italy and worked at OVIPR-Anicura and Clinica Veterinaria Apuana-Anicura. I’m author and co-author of several research projects and publications, presented at multiple national and international congresses. The major clinical interests are thoracic surgery, urinary system surgery, minimally invasive surgery and neurosurgery.

DR. INGRID TUNDO
Dentistry

I’m Ingrid, I graduated from the University of Milan in 2014; I did multiple internships in Italy in Milan and Novara. I decided to move abroad to pursue my dream to specialize in Dentistry. In 2017, I started a full-time residency program in Dentistry in Swindon in England. In 2020 I moved to Scotland and started working for the University of Edinburgh. I am the only lecturer in Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery working full-time in academia in the UK. I am the head of the service at the University of Edinburgh, and I particularly like dealing with patients suffering from endodontic diseases, oncologic diseases, and maxillofacial traumas. I am passionate about advanced imaging of the neck and head. In October 2021, I graduated from the European College of Veterinary Dentistry. I held lectures at national and international courses and congresses of veterinary Dentistry. I am part of the European College of Veterinary Dentistry exam committee.
